Why Choose a Jet Ski Dolphin Tour Over a Boat?
A pontoon or catamaran will get you near dolphins; a Waverunner gets you in their world. Because our jet skis sit low and quiet, dolphins consistently come right up to riders — close enough that you’ll see the scars, the smiles, the calves swimming behind mom. You’re not stuck on a bench waiting for the captain to point. You’re driving, turning, and choosing where to linger. For active couples, friend groups, and anyone who wants an experience instead of a sightseeing trip, this is the dolphin tour to book in Destin.
- Closer encounters — Waverunners sit low to the water for an eye-level view
- Active, not passive — you drive your own ski while a guide leads the group
- Front-row everything — no obstructed seats, no waiting your turn
- Smaller groups — guides keep the pack tight so nobody gets left behind

Tour Logistics — Riders, Weight, and Time
Each Waverunner can carry up to two people with a combined weight limit of 400 lbs. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and present a valid photo ID and major credit card at check-in. Passengers must be at least 5 years old, must sit behind the driver, and must be big enough to hold on securely with both wearing life jackets. If you were born on or after January 1, 1988, Florida law requires a Boater Safety Certificate — we can issue a temporary certificate at check-in for $3.
Tours run daily, March through October, with departure times varying by time of year. Plan to arrive 45 minutes before your departure time to handle parking, paperwork, and the safety briefing.
Where We Launch — 530 Harbor Blvd., Destin
Check in at the coral/peach-colored building on the right side of the lot at 530 Harbor Blvd., Destin, FL 32541. Parking is first-come, first-served on the property, with overflow parking at 531 Mountain Drive.
Will You Actually See Dolphins?
Destin is one of the most dolphin-rich stretches of the Gulf Coast — wild Atlantic bottlenose dolphins live here year-round, and our captains know exactly where they tend to feed and play. We have a very high sighting rate but, because these are wild animals, we can’t guarantee a sighting every single trip. What we can guarantee is that you’ll be in the right water with the right guide at the right time, and that we’ll never let you feed or invade a dolphin’s space — we let them come to you, which is how they actually do.
How to Be a Good Dolphin Guest
These rules aren’t just polite — they’re the difference between dolphins approaching the group and dolphins disappearing. Tipsy Tiki guides will brief every rider before launch:
- Don’t try to feed dolphins — human food isn’t safe for them
- Don’t chase or crowd a pod; idle and let them choose to approach
- Cut your engine when dolphins are close, per your guide’s signal
- Keep noise low — calves are especially sensitive to wake and sound
Pricing & Booking
Jet ski dolphin tours start at $150 per ski. Advance reservations are required so we can staff the appropriate number of guides — please book at least 2 days ahead to avoid sell-outs, especially in summer and during spring break.
Deposits: at check-in, drivers choose between a $25 non-refundable damage protection (covers up to $500 of potential damage) or a refundable $500 hold on a major credit card, returned in full when the equipment is back on time and undamaged.
Cancellations & Weather
Tipsy Tiki has a 24-hour, weather-permitting cancellation policy. Changes or cancellations made outside the 24-hour window before your reservation are eligible for a reschedule or full refund. Changes made inside that window are not refundable or reschedulable, and no-shows are not refunded. If our team deems the weather unsafe on the day of your tour, we’ll contact you to reschedule or issue a full refund.
