Things to know before you rent A Waverunner in Destin, FL
To rent and operate one of our Waverunners or Jet Skis, drivers must be at least 18 years old and present a valid photo ID. If you were born on or after January 1, 1988, you’ll need to take and pass a Florida Boater Safety Test, which we offer here for just $3. After passing, you’ll receive a boater certification valid for one year. Additionally, all renters are required to watch a safety video before heading out on the water. A $500 damage deposit is required for all rentals.
We will provide you with all necessary safety equipment, including life jackets, and you’ll only need to bring your photo ID and boater certification permit. Optional baggies are available to protect your belongings. Our Destin Waverunner Rental prices, which include fuel, can be found on the Rates page. We do not accept reservations for Waverunners or Jet Skis. Our boats are rented on a first come, first serve basis; however we have plenty of rentals and wait times tend to be short. Check out our rates and come book with us today!

Parking
Gilligan’s Watersports (530 Harbor Blvd): free parking right at the dock, first come, first served — when the lot fills, overflow waits just up the hill at 531 Mountain Drive.
Xtreme H2O (7 Calhoun Ave): the Destin Marina’s public lot sits right beside the launch; it goes fast on summer days, so share a ride when you can.
Destin X (214 Harbor Blvd): room for one vehicle per booking on site, first come, first served — extra cars park free at 310 Mountain Drive or for $15 at 285 US-98 W, and RVs or trailers use the paid public lot across the street.
Check-In
Skippering your own ride? Handle the one piece of homework first: drivers born on or after January 1, 1988 need a Florida boater safety certificate, and knocking out the Florida temporary boater test online before you show up makes check-in easier and faster. A $3 NASBLA version is offered dockside too — just leave wiggle room. Roll in 45 minutes before your start with a photo ID for every driver; life jackets and the safety talk are on the crew.
Bring aboard: swimsuits, towels, reef-safe sunscreen, a waterproof pouch for your phone, and a soft-sided cooler with drinks — no glass on the water.
