Frequently Asked Questions – Dolphin Tours
Will we see dolphins?
We have a very high success rate of dolphin sightings on every tour. Our experienced captains know the best spots in the Destin Harbor and surrounding waters where Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins are most active. While wildlife encounters can never be 100% guaranteed, we are confident you will have an incredible experience.
How long is the tour?
The dolphin tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours, giving you plenty of time to cruise through the harbor, search for dolphins, and enjoy the beautiful Destin waters. Our captains take the time to find the best dolphin activity rather than rushing through the experience.
Is this good for kids?
Yes! The dolphin tour is family-friendly and great for all ages. Kids especially love seeing dolphins up close in their natural habitat. Our crew is experienced at making the tour engaging and educational for younger passengers, and the boat ride itself is smooth and comfortable.
What dolphins will we see?
Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins are the most common species in the Destin area. These intelligent and playful marine mammals are often seen swimming alongside boats, jumping, and playing in the wake. They can grow up to 12 feet long and are known for their friendly, curious behavior around boats.
Can I bring food and drinks?
Yes, you are welcome to bring snacks and beverages aboard. We recommend bringing water and sunscreen as well, since you will be out on the water for about 1.5 hours. Please use cans or plastic containers only — no glass allowed for safety reasons.
